EPPC and SSADRT Send Staff to Animal Control Officers School Starting in March 2012.
In March 2012 EPPC and SSDART Team members Chris D'Arpino and Danielle Fangundies will be attending the Massachusetts Animal Control Officers Training Program in Boylston MA. This is a 10 week program that will prepare the students for a wide verity of Animal Related issues. At the end of the course the graduated students will be eligible to work as Animal Control Officers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and associated states.
With the high animal rescue call volume that EPPC and SSDART have experienced over the past year D'Arpino and Cuneo thought that this was a good step for the teams to take "We hope that this builds better relationships with local animal rescue officials" said Jonathan Cuneo, Team Commander of EPPC. D'Arpino said "I hope that this course will give us the knowledge and skill to aid towns faster, better and safer when called upon"
The Students will begin the training in early March and will likely graduate sometime in May. We wish the students the best of luck and are so very proud of them.

On Thursday May 18th 2012 just hours before the EPPC and
SSDARt awards banquet team member Dani Fagundies and
Commander Chris D'Arpino successfully completed the
Massachusetts Animal Control Officers Course. The course lasted
10 weeks and involved a collage like curriculum that included hands
on with animals, test and lots of classroom time. The two members
are now the first to EPPC and SSDART members to be certified ACO
in the commonwealth of Massachusetts. ACO are given law
enforcement powers is a very prestiges achievement for both
members. Congratulations!
